Hello friends and family. It’s been a long time!
As most of you know, I have tried to remain non-political on this website. I did, however, speak up before the election in 2024. My main message was get out and vote to keep us from losing our democracy. Now I find myself at it again. This time prompted by a piece of political mail I received this week. I’m sure you are all as tired of it as I am. But, here goes.
I am compelled to write this post by my disgust with our Department of Justice.
I recently received a brochure in the mail from “Stand Together for Truth” titled “The Best Time to Stop a Threat to America? Before it reaches home.” The subtitle is “America’s Alliance with Israel Keeps America Safer.” The gist of the brochure is to support the Israeli government as a means of keeping my state and country safer.
This drew my interest because my sister and her husband are Israeli and US citizens here in the US so I am somewhat educated in the political landscape there. On the surface, It seems reasonable. After all, Israel is a US ally. But reading between the lines exposes the publisher’s real intent.
On the back of the brochure is the following claimer:
“This material is distributed by Clock Tower X LLC on behalf of the State of Israel. Additional information is available at the Department of Justice, Washington DC.”
Here is the AI overview I found, “https://clocktowerx.com/ is an American political public relations and digital influence firm founded and led by Brad Parscale, former campaign manager for Donald Trump.
Today I learned that the president has endorsed Netanyahu in the Israeli elections. Is anyone surprised?!
PLEASE HELP US STOP THIS MADNESS. VOTE DEMOCRATIC EVEN IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH ALL OF ITS POLICY STANCES. We have to regain stability and civility before we can address real issues affecting us all.
Last minute update. I just found an article in the Des Moines Register about this subject. I’m attaching a PDF for you to read.
Well…
It feels good to be back. I’ve thought of writing many times. My life has changed so much. I hope I can get back to sharing it with you. I will say that I am actively pursuing my music, playing publicly and trying to get recorded. Assuming I do, I certainly will post it on this site.
Meanwhile, lets not only survive the next couple weeks, lets do something about improving our country by voting.
